Celtics Living Legend Arnold "Dead" Auerbach fails at bid for 90th straight victory over Death

There will eventually be some words here from a real fan, our very own Filthy Stinking Chowd, straight outta Boston. For now, here's this:

Arnold Auerbach had beaten Death handily for 89 straight years. It was like watching the Harlem Globetrotters wail mercilessly on the Washington Generals. Living was so easy for "Red," that he must have lost his focus. Then, BOOM! Death jumped up off the bench and played inspired defense, rallying to destroy Red by the time the buzzer sounded. "He just didn't seem to have the heart," Death was quoted as saying in a post-life news conference.

Many analysts believe that Death now has the upper hand, and will go on to win this matchup every year for the rest of eternity. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Filthy Stinking Chowd and I (TheGrimReaper) each score 11 for sitting dead red in 2006.
